A retired tennis pro plots the murder of his own wife—but when she turns the tables on her attempted assailant, she is convicted of murder. Can the police detective who brought her to trial now decipher the clues that will save her life? The play that inspired Hitchcock’s suspense classic weaves an ever tightening web of danger and deception.

Meet the Cast

JUNE RIBAS AS MARGOT WENDICE

June is an English teacher who has run the drama department in her school for the last 7 years.  Her credits include junior versions of The Addams FamilySeussical, and Into the Woods.  She is so excited to be on the stage acting again for the first time since high school.  She thanks the cast for being so welcoming, Dave for the amazing opportunity to perform in this show, and her family for their support. 

VINCE FAY AS MAX HALLIDAY

Vince is happy to be performing at Center Players once again. He previously has been a loony in One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, one of roomates in The Boys Next Door, and a guest at Neil Simon’s The Dinner Party.  He has also been in staged readings of Night Of The Iguana and William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night . Other performances have included Picasso At The Lapine AgileThe Ghost TrainArtAdam’s EveSleeping Indoors, and On The Thirteenth Day of Christmas at First Avenue Playhouse. He has also written, directed and starred in his own short film, CEO Temp.  Enjoy the show, and hope I don’t murder you!

JOE ZEDENY AS TONY WENDICE

This production marks Joe’s debut at Center Players, but by no means is he a stranger to NJ theater, nor to director Dave McGrath (or Vince Faye for that matter). He has worked under the guidance of Mr. McGrath in a number of shows, including The Bishop’s WifeLong Days’ Journey into Night, and Lovers and Other Strangers, all performed in Eatontown and Long Branch, NJ. He also performed in The Italian American Reconciliation,  Don’t Drink the Water and Wait Until Dark at First Avenue Playhouse, Atlantic Highlands, NJ. He has most recently performed as Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone, at the Brook Arts Center, Bound Brook, NJ, Bill Austion in Mamma Mia! at Plays in the Park, EdisonNJ. He has also appeared as Tony Delvecchio in Disaster! The Musical and Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, both performed at the Kelsey Theatre, Mercer County College. and as Gomez in The Addams Family at North Brunswick Adult Drama, North Brunswick H.S.

KEVIN GABLE AS CAPTAIN LESGATE

This is Kevin’s second appearance Center Players stage. He previously played R.P. Mc Murphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Kevin’s characters embody the love and passion he has for the arts. He has performed in No Exit and Shakespeare Abridged at Playhouse 22 and First Avenue Playhouse. Kevin is excited to bring Captain Lesgate and the entire play to life with the support of his very talented cast.

ROBERT GAYDOS AS CHIEF INSPECTOR HUBBARD

Robert is making his second appearance at Center Players. His first venture and debut to stage acting was last year in One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest as “Martini.” He is please to be returning with Director Dave McGrath and Center Players terrific staff. Over the past year he has been in numerous plays and shows and is eager to fulfill his role as “Chief Inspector Hubbard” for this evening’s show. After playing “Grandpa” in the musical comedy “Little Miss Sunshine,” he is ready to take on a more serious role as a sleuth and very inquisitive detective in Dial “M” For Murder.

Robert looks to be part of the Center Players family for many years to come and is grateful for the opportunity to appear here again!

BLAKE TAYLOR AS THOMPSON

Blake is pleased to be returning to the Center Playhouse stage, as Thompson, for his second performance here. His previous role was as Arnold Wiggins in The Boys Next Door, also directed by Dave McGrath. His previous acting credits include ensemble for both Miracle on 34th Street and The King and I at the Algonquin Arts Theater in Manasquan. Blake is very thankful and appreciative to have all of this love and support from friends and family, and is happy to be getting back out there!

DAVE MCGRATH – DIRECTOR

Along with several theatrical readings, this is the fifth Signature Series Presentation Dave has directed at Center Players. Previous shows are One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s NestThe Boys Next DoorThe Dinner Party and The Rainmaker. He is grateful to have the opportunity to work with such a talented and creative cast, crew and management.
