The Center Playhouse was the official home to Center Players. An intimate, 49-seat community theater that was located at 35 South Street in downtown Freehold, NJ. Following a five-year development effort, its doors opened in March, 2001 with a gala celebration and sold-out run of "Crossing Delancey,"
With our ouster from a very cozy space, we are looking to find a new home which could possibly be slightly larger. For those who would like to help us find this elusive location - we need about 2,000 square feet with at least 9.5 foot high ceilings - minimal or no columns - adequate parking - preferrably on a ground floor for easy handicapped access. An open area would be best so we could fill the space in the best fashion.
Though we would like to stay in Freehold Borough, we are open to any good location somewhere in the Freehold area.
