In this timely original musical, two immigrants separated by borders and dreaming of a better life, head north to America with the help of a mystical and complicated character known as Coyote.  An inspiring and heartwarming love story, based on true events.

The musical will be held at the Mattison Crossing Theatre

Meet the Cas

 

Tom Shewchuk  -  Coyote

Tom is thrilled to be back with Center Players, having appeared in many of their productions over the years.  He is especially excited to be a part of a wonderful cast and crew (thank you, Bernice) telling such a compelling story with exquisitely crafted words and music.  Some of Tom's previously notable appearances have been as Torvald Helmer in A Doll's House (Center Players), Herbie in Gypsy (Phoenix Productions) and Horace Vandergelder in Hello Dolly (Spring Lake Playhouse).  In the words of Coyote, "sit back and enjoy the show"!

Angel Suarez -  Pedro

Angel is excited to perform the role of Pedro with Center Players in the premiere production of Coyote. His passion for music led him to his journey. He has been playing bass guitar in bands for the last 7 years. He has also worked on the Off-Off Broadway production of Stay as a part of the photo and media department. You can check his work on photography @trahsonangel. Angel thanks Tim, Bernice, and the rest of the cast and crew for all their support and encouragement.

Andrea Azomoza  -   Bernadiz

Andrea Azomoza is originally from Puebla, Mexico. “Coyote” came into her life at the right time, she is passionate about the topic of immigration, hoping for a better life for everyone. She recently completed the Musical Theater Conservatory at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy AMDA in New York City. Favorite past roles include Carla in STAY (Off-Off Broadway), Elena in The Orbweaver (Skene), and Mimi in Rent (Entreacto). She feels proud of her colleagues and excited to see new faces fall in love with the world of theatre. IG: @azomoza_andrea.

Angela Ronan  -   Fatima

Angela is a speech pathologist, doctorate student, and mother of two who loves to perform whenever she has the chance. She is a classically trained singer who has been seen in many community theatres throughout NJ and Staten Island. She is the founder and President of Misfits Theatre Company, an adult community theatre company in Manalapan. Favorite roles include: Ethel (Footloose), JoAnn (Godspell), Antonia (Man of La Mancha), and Petra (A Little Night Music). Thank you to her husband, kids, family, friends, cast, and crew for their constant support.

 

Judi Brennan Kuldinow  -   Linda

Empty nester Judi took to the stage with North Brunswick Adult Drama Club participating in musicals since 2016.  She joined Misfits Theatre Company performing in their musicals. She is a member of Arcadian Chorale, and Way Past Midnight musical performances. Having this opportunity to work on this project with its talented cast has been a real delight. She said Center Players is a wonderful theatre and she is honored to be working with their great crew.

Jordan Fahrion  -   Abila

Jordan is so grateful and excited to have the opportunity to play Abila and be a part of the ensemble in this beautiful musical! She has been attending Actors Playground School of Theater for about 4 years to study the art of acting and theater. She is also going into her third year studying acting in the Fine and Performing Arts program at Howell High School. Outside of Center Players, Jordan plays Morgan in the one-act play, Lost Angels, and loves every second of it. She would like to thank all of her amazing directors, cast members, and crew members for putting together such a lovely show.

Richard Pucci  -  Ensemble

Richard Pucci is thrilled to be making his Center Players debut. He previously played Devon in the one-act play, “Period 5” and feels blessed to be ending a theater hiatus with Coyote. He would love to thank his Family and Friends for their much-needed emotional support. He came for the music but stayed for the people.  

Tim McCorry  -  Musical Director

Tim is grateful beyond measure to Center Players for giving Coyote its first full production. Since creating “Coyote” Tim has presented the work in staged concerts in Chicago and New York City. He has also presented Coyote as a one-man show at the Center Players former home stage in Freehold. He also greatly enjoyed serving as musical director for the Center Players' production of the Broadway musical, A Year with Frog and Toad. Tim is an award-winning composer and lyricist, whose album Diana was an official selection at the Grammy Awards in 8 categories. He also received a “Silver Award” for “Best Jazz & Blues Composition” from the Songwriters Association of Washington DC. Tim is a graduate of Cornell University and a licensed architect. He is the father of writer and producer, Diana McCorry as well as musician and composer, Cody McCorry. Tim lives in Freehold with his wife, Erin McCorry and their dog, Jersey Girl. He is thrilled to be working with a wonderful cast and crew under the steadfast and tireless direction of director Bernice Garfield-Szita and producer Bob Szita!
